GUIDING THE GULLABLE
|
|
Humanity's spiritual beliefs were compiled in ancient eras to account for the hidden forces they felt influenced their lives. They claimed that their Gods created heaven and earth, and all of the species upon it. According to the summary of events described by the Christian bible this was supposed to have occurred about 4400 BC. Since then our investigations have disclosed that the earth is not stationary and in the center of the world, with all else circling around it, and that fossils have been found on it that date back millions and millions of years. Its present plant and animal life forms have evolved over the ages from microscopic beginnings, and mankind was not created, but has evolved from primate ancestors. The ancient accounts of creation have been unsubstantiated by our modern scientific investigations, and such tales of creation by heavenly deities performing such superhuman activities should now and forever be considered to be fictional. It has been shown that the powers of nature are the forces that the ancients attributed to be that of their Gods, and that it appears to drive all species to compete for survival. So in reality, man was not born with sin or is more evil than other beasts: he is driven by the influences of nature to compete and commit acts that are hurtful to his own kind in order to survive. We have found that the world is powered by gigantic forces that control the orbit of our planets, and produce the heat that is expelled from the sun: which in turn cause the winds and the weather variations on earth. Thunder and lightning can no longer be classed as warnings from the intelligences above, or that our climate is controlled to provide greater benefit to mankind than to the birds and the bees. Such knowledge regarding the powers of nature has increased tremendously in modern times, and we must conclude that these explainable forces are incapable of sensing our presence, while we strive to determine for what purpose the universe exists. As an intelligent species we have a desire to make our existence on this planet as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. To do so we must rely on our advancing intellect, rather than on ancient beliefs that the universe is controlled by cosmic beings that motivate and reward us to be obedient to their commandments. Discovering that such beliefs were derived through wishful thinking and the lack of knowledge, we now find that it would be wise to circumvent the powers and influences of nature to avoid the necessity of continuing to compete as we and other species are driven to do. In early eras mankind's isolated family and ethnic groups competed with other groups for control of the territory they required, and which provided for their livelihood. As populations increased these groups have grown to form the nations of our day. The competition between nations regularly results in warfare between them. Also their individual governments gain their support through economically advantaging their friends and the largest portion of their citizens at the expense of the less powerful minorities. So in effect, we have competition between the nations and amongst the citizens within them. This is caused by the influences of nature, which our present spiritually indoctrinated populations have failed to address and avoid the consequences of. Many of us are now more world wise, and realize that the only way to avoid national conflict is to unite the nations under one government. Then in order to halt the competition for subsidies and economic favors we must teach the planet's population the morality and the desire to set up a planetary administrative body that is prohibited from discriminating amongst the population with their rulings. By regulating our numbers we can provide ourselves with sufficient earthly resources for all to use in providing for their needs: making it socially demeaning and undesirable for some to live off the labor of others, or for our new government to discriminate amongst us to provide such benefits, and be involved in redistributing our earnings to promote the power of numbers and the biblical sanctity of life. Thereby, avoiding the present controversies of taxing the most industrious to assist the least industrious, and creating second generations of welfare claimants that sire additional dependents for the public to support. Such governmental practices must be halted: for by providing plentiful earthly resources for all to use, producers of commodities would prosper, and be able to retain a larger percentage of their earnings that wouldn't be taxed or devalued by inflation to provide for their own retirements or disability insurance. Our major concerns should be to save our species from self-destruction, rather than direct our society's energies toward providing for the needs of the ailing and the unable; which would become the responsibility of the next of kin, and to restrict our numbers to that which the earth's resources can adequately sustain. Others will be concerned about protecting their present spiritually promoted morality, but early man designed his moral codes to fulfill their society's needs and wishes for them. He attributed them as being instructions from his spiritual rulers to better enforce his society's acceptance of them. They are of man's own composition, and we will retain the best of them as we enjoy the peace and plenty we have made, while we endeavor to protect our planet's life supporting environment from further deterioration. |
